6 Quick Tips for Keeping Your Hair Looking Healthy and Lush

Preventing a problem is always best for your tresses.

So many things can affect the health and appearance of your hair. It's not only your diet that can affect the condition of your hair but how you treat your hair during cleansing and styling. Here are some tips for keeping your hair looking great and feeling healthy.

Regular trims

  • Even when you a growing out for a longer look, shaping and trimming prevents scraggly ends and it becomes fun to reshape into  a new style along the way.

Fine and limp hair

  • Over shampooing can dry out hair and make it lifeless.
  • Dry shampoo is perfect for the in between days and the right one will add great body and takes away that flat to your head look.

Styling products

  • Too much can coat the hair and build-up. Check ingredients for alcohol (very drying) There are many products without it and   with better results.
  • Flat-iron products are a must to protect the cuticle layer of your long hair against that intensive heat.

Color changes
  • Major color changes should not be done at home. A pro has the experience to know the condition of your hair and  how to achieve the results you want without over processing.
  • Color must be applied evenly and timed.
  • The box instructions or help line can't see your hair. They will suggest you see a pro.

Blow drying

  • Hold the dryer at least four inches from your head or brush.
  • Hair at your hairline in more delicate so stretching and tugging too tight can weaken that fine hair and thin it.

Special occasions
  • Never do your Hair color or cut at the last minute. No matter how much you think your bangs need to be trimmed STAT, DON'T DO IT! Sweep them to the side, then make a note to give me a call.
  • Plan ahead for special events when you are relaxed and Pro can help with all your options.
